Aquila Theatre was founded in London in 1991 by Peter Meineck and has been based in New York City since 1999. Our mission is to bring the greatest theatrical works to the greatest number. Aquila presents a regular season of plays in New York, at international festivals, and tours to approximately seventy American towns and cities a year. We also provide access to excellent theatre for people in under-served rural and inner city communities.
Aquila interns have the unique opportunity to work closely with the staff in learning all aspects of managing a nonprofit organization, including the subtle details of day-to-day organization. This fall Aquila is producing Catch-22 Off-Broadway.
This is an unpaid position, but we do offer college credit.
Preferred qualifications:
- Interest in Off-Broadway theatre, classical theatre
- Familiarity with NY arts, culture, and non-profits
- Articulate and personable
- Pro-active, responsible, and reliable
Must commit for full semester (three to four months)
A minimum of 10 hours weekly
