Brooklyn Academy Of Music (BAM) Seeks - Community Affairs & Audience Development Intern for Winter-Spring 2008
Intern required in exciting, busy office 20 hours per week
Responsibilities include:
- Mailings: labeling envelopes and stuffing letters
- liaison with community groups and other cultural organizations
- Assist in community outreach efforts and target/niche marketing for BAM's main stage, cinema, and live music programs
- Maintain community and audience development mailing lists using Tessitura software
- Distributing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and postcards
- Internet research and writing
- Attend community events and festivals with Community Affairs and Audience Development Manager
- Assist in planning community events and receptions
Excellent learning opportunity for college student. Must be computer literate and possess excellent communications skills. Some office and/or performing arts experience required. Internship includes many opportunities to see complimentary performances and films.
