Townsend Teague
TOWNSEND TEAGUE currently serves as associate company manager for the North American tour of Mel Brooks' musical comedy Young Frankenstein. Prior to this, he served as associate company manager for the Old Vic production of The Norman Conquests, which opened on Broadway at Circle in the Square Theatre. Previous to Norman he served as associate company manager for the most recent Broadway Revival of Gypsy. Townsend moved to Las Vegas in 2007 to serve as assistant company manager for Mel Brooks' musical The Producers at the Paris Hotel and Casino. During that time he also he served as producer for August Wilson's final play Radio Golf (4 Tony Award Nominations, including Best Play), which opened at the Cort Theatre in May 2007 followed by regional openings across the country. As a graduate of Indiana University's Arts Management Program, he served as director for IU Union Board's theatre production of How to Succeed Business Without Really Trying, served as assistant director of The Pirates of Penzance and produced A Chorus Line. During his college years he spent summers working for Broadway production company Richard Frankel Productions as an intern for the Broadway musical The Producers and later as management assistant for the North American tour of the same musical. He also interned at Signature Theatre Company where he was promoted to interim marketing director overseeing the off-Broadway production of Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful. Townsend has enjoyed serving as company manager for over a half dozen off-Broadway productions, and as a volunteer to The Actors' Fund, providing stage management services for Broadway Benefit Concerts. He is a member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers (ATPAM).
