MICHAEL BALL most recently made his New York City Opera debut as Reginald Bunthorne in Patience. Theatre highlights: originated the role of Alex in Aspects of Love both in the West End and on Broadway; Marius in Les Misérables (original cast) at the Palace Theatre in London; Raoul in Andrew Lloyd Webber?s The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty?s Theatre in London; Giorgio in Stephen Sondheim?s Passion at the Queen?s Theatre, London; Joe in Sunset Boulevard opposite Petula Clark in BBC Radio 2?s live concert production recorded at Cork Opera House; Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (original cast); Count Fosco in The Woman in White in London and Broadway. His recordings include 11 solo albums, all of which achieved gold or platinum status, and he has completed nine national and international concert tours. Mr. Ball is the recipient of the Variety Club of Great Britain?s Most Promising Newcomer 1989, Recording Artist of the Year 1998 and the Theatergoers? Club of Great Britain?s Award for Most Popular Musical Actor over the last 21 years.
