MEREDITH LYNSEY SCHADE is the assistant general manager at Classic Stage Company. She has produced and assisted on many premieres, including the international tours of Michel Vinaver's 11 septembre 2001, Stephen Dillane's Macbeth (A Modern Ecstasy), Ines Wurth's I Miss Communism, and Sintroca's LaSanta. She was the Associate Producer on the award-winning Bully, starring Richard Fry and The British Ambassador's Belly Dancer, both of which premiered in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2008. Prior to her return to New York City, she was the Executive Director of ArtWallah in Los Angeles. She has collaborated extensively, including work with Barrington Stage Company, Center for New Performance, Dee Gee Entertainment and the Sundance Theatre Lab, at which she assisted in developing Taking Flight, Measure for Pleasure, and Passing Strange. Current projects include Elaine Avila's Jane Austen Action Figure and a new commission based upon Jean Hatzfeld's Machete Season. She holds a MFA in Producing from California Institute of the Arts and a BFA in Design/Technical Theatre from the University of Connecticut.
