LISA LOOMER Distracted had its world premiere at the Mark Taper Forum and was subsequently produced at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Other plays include Living Out (Second Stage), The Waiting Room (Vineyard), Expecting Isabel (Arena Stage, Taper), Broken Hearts (Cornerstone) and Birds (South Coast Rep). Her work has also been produced at Seattle Rep, Missouri Rep, La Jolla Playhouse, The Kennedy Center, Trinity Rep and The Public, and in Europe, Egypt and Mexico. Screenwriting: Girl, Interrupted and a new film for the producers of Gran Torino. Awards include the Jane Chambers Award, the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays, a Garland Award, the American Theatre Critics Association Award (twice) and an Imagen Award for positive portrayals of Latinos in all media.
