David Weiss
DAVID WEISS Musician (woodwinds), has been involved with The Lion King musical since its development phase in Fall 96. A player of many indigenous and exotic woodwinds from many cultures, he helped develop the woodwind parts for The Lion King, which are featured throughout the show. The Lion King calls for 12 different flutes from Africa, India, China, Europe and the Americas. Prior to The Lion King, Dave has worked on close to 50 other musicals (Miss Saigon, Riverdance, Phantom, Chess, Pacific Overtures). He has also performed as a soloist on several hundred television commercials and programs, motion pictures, albums, and new media/internet projects. Many of these projects have gone on to win Tonys, Grammys, Emmys, an Oscar, Clios, and numerous Film Festival awards.
